Now I haven't seen the movie in one sitting yet, but I've seen most of it (on a plane!), and read a lot about it and watched just about everything I could online when it was first announced. And my understanding is that because they had to explain to their customers why the movies took so long, they came up with the excuse that they were being special ordered from Sweden and it always took an extra day or two to arrive. Thus "Sweding" became the term they used when they made their own movies, and eventually took on a greater meaning of "taking something you like and adding some other things you like" making it your own by redoing it yourself.... see their hilarious website for more info: http://www.bekindmovie.com/guide.html

Re: Detektivbyrån’s Back!! Also a vague reference to the much more Swedish Igmar Bergman, who was often rumored to use whatever was on hand to make his films.

Dang I knew film school would come in handy one day!

Re: Detektivbyrån’s Back!! Wouldn’t it be better to choose from over 2000 different British & Italian fabrics and get a tailor made suit at a similar price that you pay for readymade suits?

We are a company based in Hong Kong and have been providing custom made suits & shirts since 1997. With representatives in major cities around the globe we can arrange to show you the fabric samples and take your measurements, or you can also place your orders online with the help of our measuring guide. There are over 2000 fabrics to choose from along with all the latest styles.

All our suits and shirts are produced by highly skilled Shanghainese tailors in Hong Kong and delivered in about 4 weeks, express delivery can be made in 2 weeks at a minor extra cost. In case you are not able to find what you are looking for then please let us know your requirement may it be in words or by a photograph and we could arrange it for you.

We also have an outlet at the Hotel Intercontinental Budapest where you are most welcome to visit us. Though we are not located in streets like Savile Row (London), we have still been able to offer made to measure suits to many VIP’s from around the world.

Experience an easier way of shopping for bespoke suits & shirts at Euro Tailors

Kenny Surtani

Re: New Feedback Drenched Shoegaze EP From The Greencoats

Wowzers as usual! There's no real investigation involved, they speak to the same old same olds & nothing new is gleaned from the same question that's been popping up with much frequency overthe last 18months or so. Just because there's a glut of music programmes in place helping out aspiring artists doesn't mean that's the reason there's so much bloody good music out there (the UK has a ton of them too, but the 'been on a programme to making a kick ass record' ratio is well off beam). There was no actual proper investigation into the talent that has erupted between those lovely borders; where has this dexterity come from? What in the make up of the population, the culture, the social networks, the spirit of sharing, etc. etc. etc. has made this boom possible? What's the source? They don't know because they didn't bother to research properly, speak to far lesser known or unknown artists, look at the historical reasons for music as cultural scaffolding in the territory; SPIN are just another (printed, in this case) media with pages to fill & leaping aboard a bandwagon months & months after everyone else o the planet knows about this stuff. You know as well as I do this phenomenon has been aqround for a very long time, SPIN et al are using the global appearance of the likes if Lykke Li et al to further their own zeitgeist. If I want to know about Swedish music I come here. Because you can hear the origins & the influences & the cultural nuances in the music itself. That's far better analysis than jobbing copy writers earning their stripes on the back of other people's work.
